The 体育运动管理 研究生 Specialization at San Jose State University is housed 在 运动学系 在 卫生学院 & 人文科学. There are approximately 100 graduate students 在 department, including a cohort of roughly 15 体育运动管理 students that are accepted into the program annually. 学生 from a variety of disciplines (e.g.商务、酒店、运动机能学、 Sociology, etc) are encouraged to apply.

A major focus of the program is to develop culturally informed professionals capable of management and leadership across the many sport industry professions. 此外, the balance between applied research and practical experiences ensures that our graduates have a deep and transferable knowledge base as they enter the job market, as well as potentially influencing sport scholarship by pursuing higher levels of education.

The program consists of 30 graduate units, which typically breaks down into ten, three 单元课程(见 课程). The program course requirements are as follows:
核心课程: KIN 250 (Fundamentals of Quantitative Research in Kinesiology) & KIN 251(基础知识) 运动机能学质的研究
体育管理课程: KIN 281 (Legal Aspects of Sport), KIN 282 (Marketing & 体育的社会层面)， KIN 283(管理、领导、 & Communication in Sport), and KIN 284 (Financial Aspects of Sport), KIN 280 (Advanced Fieldwork)
硕士项目: (KIN 298: 3个单位)或 论文 (KIN 299: 6个). For their final projects or theses, students have produced a variety of high-quality work, including the development of sport focused business plans, manuals, 研究项目.
选修课:(两道菜). Depending on the culminating activity chosen (thesis/project) students will complete 3 or 6 units of elective coursework. 除了在教室里 运动学系, students will often look to classes housed with the Lucas College of 业务 to fulfill their elective requirements.
